I’m Back with Light Painting

Hey, it has been awhile since I posted any stuff. I have been traveling and just a bit busy. However, I tried something new with my friend Arnold last night. It is called light painting. You setup your camera on a tripod in a totally dark room. Our settings were f/8, iso 400 and speed at 15 seconds. We used manual focus and focal length ranged from 50-70mm. Now the key here is to introduce a beam of light and keep it moving over the subject for that 15 seconds. This is a very creative process and can be used on any subject. Our subject last night was a wooden horse statue. I think we are going to try this not only on other small subjects on a table top but utilize brighter lights to do some outside landscape work. In any event attached are three shots.
